Customer Question

Hi, I was recently hired for a 15 month contract with an NGO and despite an excellent performance review, was told after 6 months that the contact was over (NGO was looking for places to save money). Can I enforce the contract? I am specifically interested in either continuing my contract or getting paid for the remainder of its term.

Yes. You can certainly seek specific performance of this contract.

If the contract did not allow for early termination and if you did not breach the contract then the NGO has to adhere to the terms of contract. So they can be forced to pay you for the remainder of its term if you aren't going to be permitted to work for them.
