Customer Question

Hi my friend just received an anonymous text saying "escorts are illegal". Does that mean it came from a police who recently busted an escort and possibly got my friends number from her text messages on her phone? What are the Leger consequences of this, would my friend be arrested or have a criminal record on police files?

There is no possibility at all that this came from the police.

I don't know who sent it but it is likely a scam or a joke.

You friend should not be concerned about this text in the least.

The police do not speak to people by text and it is not illegal to use an escort or text someone who is an escort.
