Do you have a marriage contract?

Expert:  CanLaw replied 1 year ago.

Inheritance is excluded from the valuation of family property upon the breakdown of a marriage IF the funds or property remain traceable. You would need to demonstrate that the funds/property was given to you as inheritance and prove that the funds are separate form other funds or was not used to buy property.
