I recorded a number number of talks church non profit

Customer Question

HI, I recorded a number number of talks for a church for my non profit organization and the church won't give me back my recordings. Am I correct to say that because they are my recordings, I own the rights to them ? Am I correct to say that I legally own my own material under the copyright laws in Canada ? The church wants to sell these recordings for their own fund raising. Do you know where that ruling is in the law statutes ? I'd like to make sure that I can show the copyright ruling.
Thank you
