I'm not really clear about the facts Why would you owe so much for that one billing period?
Also, are you saying that it was their mistake that the number wasn't ported in time or was it the new company's?
Small claims court would be an option but you won't succeed if you cannot prove that they owe you the refund.
I still don't see why they do owe you the refund. If the policy is that the number has ported by a certain date and you don't do that then why would a court say that you don't owe the money?
Do you see what I mean? But perhaps I'm still missing the point?
