Toronto, Ontario telescope company will not ship my purchase of a new Celestron CGEM DX telescope mount, untill I pay more money, even though I paid in full, free shipping included. Been almost four months.
What is that amount for?
For example is it tax?

Hi, I can send you the complaint letter explaning every thing. The $220.35 is for shipping the mount. The $1806.87 was full payment for one Celestron CGEM DX telescope mount. Including tax and free shipping as agreed to by Ray Khan owner of Khanscope centre. I will attach my complaint letter, which was recommended by the Ontario Consumers protection web site to try first. All I want is my property shipped as agreed too.
I understand. You are entirely correct in your position from what I can see.The Consumer Protection Branch will send them a warning letter but it's not likely they will actually prosecute them unless the do this regularly but the warning letter may work.Otherwise you would have to sue them in Small Claims Court.I believe you can do this all from NB but it's not going to be easy of course. I think you can do the pre-trial and trial be web-conference.But you will need to retain someone to serve the company.Because you are in NB as you said there is no easy solution unless you have a friend in Toronto who can serve them for you.
One of the things I wanted to know, is withholding my purchase for more money a crimminal offence? Extortion? Blackmail? Can I call the Toronto police to investigate? Sounds like the're breaking some laws.
I don't think the police will get involved. If they do the store will say you still owe money and the police will say it's a civil matter.
