hii have a imm 1000 dated 1975 . i also have social insurance card. i have not been residing in canada for the past years. i shall like to know if i can still go and live in canada as resident. thank youfrancoise

If you failed to meet the residency requirements you will have lost your status.
You have to be physically present in Canada for 730 days at least in each 5 year period.
The only exceptions are that if you are out of Canada because you are accompanying a Canadian citizen spouse or because you are working for a Canadian employer then those days outside Canada count as if you were physically present in Canada.
If that's the case you can apply for a PR card.
