My Mother in law just passed away. We thought she had a will but it turns out only her deceased husband had one. She thought it had applied to herHer estate is made up of a condo and a RIF (beneficiary is the estate). Total worth aprox $350000.She has a Daughter and a Son as well as a Sister. Other relatives would be nephews, and neices. her wish though not in a will was to split everything between her Daughter and Son.How will this be handled without a will
Optional Information: Province/Territory relating to question: Ontario Already Tried: Nothing yet.. it just all happened
As there is no spouse her two children will absolutely split the estate equally.
Not other relatives have any claim if there are kids.
One of both should apply to administer the estate.
