Resolved Question:

I am looking to propose a business idea to a company for a product that uses it's logo and another logo on it. I am unsure if either of these logos are trademarked. However, if I show them my design/proposal would they be able to use it without compensating me since it utilizes existing logos, but is just my "co-branding"/design idea?

You will find out soon if this goes anywhere if any logo is trademarked. You will get sued.

Tom Law :

For now, make sure all new ideas are on paper and even time and date stamped. Everything in writing has some protection. Everything in your head and proposed does not.

Tom Law :

Logos get rights by registration or by just by use over time. You could probably get away with using my logo in another province but not right beside my business.
