Can a person just drop off a vehicle (after saying he had car trouble) and not return to pick it up???We don't want this vehicle on our property,,,is there anything we can do?? There's no license plate on the vehicle, although we saw his registration, but that address is not current. Also, no phone number. RCMP say there is nothing they can do, but that we can pay to tow the car and to store it.
Optional Information: Province/Territory relating to question: Saskatchewan Already Tried: Contacted RCMP, they said there was nothing they could do
Hello:You did not agree to store the vehicle on your property, so there is no obligation on you to store the vehicle if you decide to remove it from your property. You can move it off of your property. You can pay to have it removed from your property and leave it on a public parking spot nearby. If the owner does not claim it then the municipality can have it towed. But it would not be your problem. You can bill the owner or sue for your costs of having it towed if you ever find that person, as unlikely as that may be.
