My stbxw and I have been in an in-home separation for more than one year . We do not have any formal access schedule , and are both actively involved with each of our three children . Is 50/50 joint/shared custody a given since that is what I will be requesting. Communication between the x and I is very little .

No it's not a given but based on your equal involvement it is certainly the most likely scenario and there will be a presumption towards this happening.
