My mother is in pallative care is not expected to last more

Customer Question

My mother is in pallative care is not expected to last more than a couple of days. My sister and I have power of attorney for her health and financial decisions. There is a substantial amount of money in my mother`s account and we would like to move a chunk of it out into a joint account held by my sister and I. Are we within our legal rights to do this as the bank is refusing to do this on our behalf.
