For Mr. Glenn G. OnlyComparing Variations:1. For the following exercise, complete the following:a. Find the mean, median, and range for each of the two data sets.b. Find the standard deviation using the rule of thumb for each of the data sets.c. Compare the two sets and describe what you discover. The following data sets shows the ages of the first seven presidents (President Washington through President Jackson) and the seven most recent presidents including President Obama. Age is given at time of inauguration. First 7: 57 61 57 57 58 57 61Second 7: 61 52 69 64 46 54 472. A data set consists of a set of numerical values. Which, if any, of the following statements could be correct?a. There is no mode.b. There are two modes.c. There are three modes.3. Indicate whether the given statement could apply to a data set consisting of 1,000 values that are all different.a. The 29th percentile is greater than the 30th percentile.b. The median is greater than the first quartile.c. The third quartile is greater than the first quartile.d. The mean is equal to the median.e. The range is zero 4. Why is it important to learn what sample size was used in a study in which no statistical difference was found?
Hi, Thanks for using Just Answer.1.
Sorry, the range should be 4 and 23 instead... Very sorry about that. From the descriptive statistics, it shows that the earlier presidents got inaugurated older than more recent presidents. The range of the variations of the inauguration age are higher for recent presidents. Both the range and standard deviation are higher for the more recent presidents.
2. All three choices could be correct.
3. a. No. It cannot be true. b. Yes, because the 1st quartile corresponds to the 25th percentile whereas the median corresponds to the 50th percentile. c. Yes, it is generally true because the 3rd quartile corresponds to the 75th percentile while the 1st quartile is the 25th percentile. d. Yes, it is especially true when the data set is normal. e. Yes, when the data set has the same value throughout, the range is 0.
4. The sample size helps us understand how significant the statistical results are. The larger the sample size, the more closely we can estimate the population parameter. It gives us more confidence in presenting and inferring statistical results. So, when no statistical difference was found, it's important to check the sample size. If the sample size is too small, the conclusion may not be valid.
Thank you.
Oh... I am so sorry.. I didn't see that you requested for Mr. Glann G.
I would opt out and let him help you.
Dear Customerthank you for requesting mehere are the answers:1.)for the mean just add all scores and divide the sum by the number of scoresso for the first 7 data:mean = (57 + 61 + 57 + 57 + 58 + 57 + 61) / 7 = 408 / 7 = 58.2857 (approx)median = the middlemost score in an arranged set of scores the arranged data is 57, 57, 57, 57, 58, 61, 61so the middlemost score is the 4th score and the 4th score is 57therefore the median is 57range is highest score - lowest score = 61 - 57 = 4a.) First 7 Second 7 57 61 61 52 57 69 57 64 58 46 57 54 61 47mean 58.2857 56.1429median 57.00 54.00range 4 23b.)to find the standard deviation using rule of thumb, just divide the range by four so the standard deviation are 1 and 5.75 respectivelythe sum of the scores in the group is higher than that of the second group, also the middlemost score in the first group is higher than that of the 2nd group.but the first group has a smaller range and sd which means that the scores in the first group are closer to one another compared with that of the 2nd group2.)all of them can be truea.) no mode is true if all scores have the same frequencyb.) two modes if exactly two scores have the same frequency and that frequency is the highestc.) three modes if exactly 3 scores have the same frequency and that frequency is the highest3. Indicate whether the given statement could apply to a data set consisting of 1,000 values that are all different.a. The 29th percentile is greater than the 30th percentile. This is false and is not applicableb. The median is greater than the first quartile. This is true and is applicablec. The third quartile is greater than the first quartile. This is true and is applicabled. The mean is equal to the median.this is maybe true or false, it is not always true or not always falsee. The range is zeroThis is false, since the scores are different, then the range can not be zero. A zero range is applicable only if all the scores are the same4.) Sample sizes is one of the factors in rejecting or failing to reject the null hypothesis. The larger the sample size, the greater the probability of rejecting the null hypothesis and the more probably significant is the resultPlease Leave a POSITIVE FEEDBACK to Credit me. Hi there
Prepare a 700- to 1,050-word paper in which you interpret the statistical significance of a study.
· Select a study in a field of interest; this does not need to be directly related to health care.
o What statistical procedures are mentioned in the study?
o What conclusions did the study reach? Are the conclusions appropriate? Why or why not?
o Are the findings statistically significant? Why or why not? Describe the process you used to make this determination and provide the level of significance.

ah ok, sorry for that, thanks anyways. So what is now your 2nd set of questions?you better post them as a new question in another post and if you want me to answer that, you can put my name in the question " For Mr. Glenn G. only" thanks
I will post as another question but wanted to make sure that you could do it. It is a writing assignment but about math.
no problem, I will tell you immediately if I can do it, else, I will let other expert do it if I can't :)
