Hi,

Thank you for the new request.

You can upload your file to a file-sharing site such as mediafire.com. If you cannot access that site for some reason, you can also try sendspace.com or wikisend.com.

Thanks,

Ryan

Thank you.

I have uploaded into media fire for you to start working on. Here is last weeks feedback just in case you wanted to know.

10.30 a)hyp incorrect, b)your decision rule was not
correct, the sign was wrong and the critical value number should not be a
negative number, d)I will count this correct but the reason is because the
sample evidence shows a significant difference in the 2 proportions, e)p-value
incorrect, 10.44 a)hyp incorrect, you did not have to calculate a proportion,
10.46 your hyp is correct but your description is the same on both Ho and Ha,
you did not have to do d & e, 10.56 I did not find your p-value, 11.24 I will
count this problem half correct. You needed to perform a One Factor ANOVA test,
you has some of the correct answers but again you were trying to fix it into a
5 step hypothesis testing.

Hi,

I can't find any link for the new problems.

With regard to the feedback you received, I'm flummoxed. It would be helpful if your instructor could give you more information about what was expected.

In problem 10.30, I'm wondering if he/she expected "sample 1" to be the red firetrucks, and "sample 2" to be the yellow ones. That would account for a lot of the comments, especially regarding the hypotheses and the sign on the critical value. The statements following the symbolic hypotheses should have made it clear that the solution was treating "sample 1" as the "yellow trucks", and that it would be a left-tailed test, for which the critical value should be negative. Which sample is which is arbitrary however. What is important is how the solution is set up.

In problem 10.44, I'd sure like to know what he/she considers to be the "correct" hypotheses.

In problem 10.46, the description is NOT the same on H0 and Ha, unless you happened to leave a word or two out of what I wrote.

In problem 11.24, that WAS a one-factor ANOVA test. And there is nothing wrong with following the five-step hypotheses testing procedure when performing an ANOVA test. The two are not mutually exclusive.

I have no idea what your instructor is talking about with most of this. Any additional information that you can gather and share will be helpful. I'm more than willing to help you, but I have my doubts as to whether I can come up with the particular format/style that your instructor wants without some additional information.

Thanks,

Ryan

I am at work right now so when i get home i will try to uplaod the new link again. I dont know what he wants either. The only feedback that i get is what i show you. When he gives out the problems he only gives us what is in the attachments that i uploaded for you.

I appreciate your help and the onluy i can say is just keep doing what you are doing i get credit just not full credit and at this point i just need to make sure i can pass. And wha tyour doing gets me enough points. SO again thank you.

Hi,

As long as you're happy with it, I'll be happy to help.

I have done these exact problems dozens of times, and I have never received the kind of feedback that we have been getting. You can probably imagine where I think the problem lies. (Hint: It's not you, and it's not me...Wink)

Thanks,

Ryan

How did you submit it? Did you upload it to mediafire.com, or did you try to attach it to your message here?

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi,

You need to copy the link for the new file that you uploaded, and then paste it into your reply here. That's the only way that I can access it.
