I have an 04 Deville. Took it to my regular mechanic to have drivers window/motor and
JA: How many miles are on the car? Is it an automatic or a manual transmission?
Customer: regulator replaced 60000 automatic
JA: Are you fixing your DeVille yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: My mechanic who has other windows on other vehicles for me in the past said he cannot figure out how to remove the panel because of two pins on bottom. He had a bad experience in the past on the same model. What is so unusual...Special tool

Okay is he having a problem with the drivers door panel or the water deflector under the door pane?

my mechanic had a problem with this same model before. His problem involves two pins that are
located at the bottom of the pane. Cannot figure out how they work. Is afraid of ruining the panel by
attempting this model again. Is there some special tool or configuration, etc. that could help us
solve this problem?

Okay have him take a look at the diagrams for the panel and the water defector in the links below. This should help him determine what it is he is not clear on. have him take a look .
