Just replaced both headlight assemblies on my 2010 srx,

Customer Question

just replaced both headlight assemblies on my 2010 srx, lenses had begun to take on moisture and bulbs were burning out. once installed and its factory replacement parts the low beams seem a bit low. is there an adjustment that csn be made without taking front bumper assembly off again
JA: Did you check the bulbs?
Customer: both bulbs burned out and both daytime running lights were out high beams worked
JA: Are you fixing your SRX yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: well I just said i replaced both assemblies which came with new bulbs. it just seems low beams are aimed a little low is there an adjustment possible without taking front bumper back off
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Does it have the auto headlamp leveling feature?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
That I am not sure
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
How could I tell or find out
Expert:  Dan replied 2 months ago.

There are sensors in the front and rear that control the level of the lights. You would need a scan tool to check for codes in that system. Look for the headlamp aiming screws next to the light assembly if the screws are not there it is automatic.

does that look sort of like a star wheel with a screw going through it
Expert:  Dan replied 2 months ago.

Yes

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
can you access them without taking bumber asembly back off
Expert:  Dan replied 2 months ago.

Probably not. Its a tight fit the way these bumpers surround the headlamps.

ok no problem it was not difficult. im a pretty good self mechanic. as far as leveling what is your thought of an eye ball test I dont have aiming box equipment
Customer: replied 2 months ago.
I assume it is an up and down adjustment only I only see one star wheel

back into the garage and close the door and level the lights on the door.
