I have a 2009 escalade and my front right marker light won't

Customer Question

Hello
JA: Hello. How can we help?
Customer: I have a 2009 escalade and my front right marker light won't work
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: They the yellow side lights on the headlight assembly
JA: Are you fixing your Escalade yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have the whole headlight off hoping it may be a loose wire but all wires seem to be tight
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No that will do thanks

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner past midnight.

Do you owna test light or volt meter?

Is this the turn signal or parking lamp which is out?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I dont own a volt meter. Its the parking lamp on the drivers side. It looks there is maybe 6 little lights on the strip and 5 are out. I took off the headlight assembly to check for loose wire but found none. Before I go and buy a new assembly I just wanted to exhaust all of my options.

Do you know someone with a volt meter or test light or can you get one. Replacing the light without testing is not the best option, that is just a guess.

Hello again Chris here,

  • Sorry you were not pleased with my help.
  • What would you like to do regarding your question now.
  • This post is coming up on the 7 day mark where it times out. When a post times out, that means it's no longer on my active list (you reply and I may never know it.)

Thanks Chris

Sorry for the delay. I ended up contacting GM and they advised that I need a whole new headlight assembly. I was hoping that, that wasnt the case.

Do you need help replacing the headlight assembly?

You have already paid for help but not yet rated a post. So is there anything I can help with?
