Hi Im David,
Did the mechanic check the fuse and relay? D
id he check for power at the blower motor connector before he wasted your money on a new motor?
Did he check the condition of the blower motor resistor assembly?
Customer: replied 11 days ago.
He had power at plug on old motor
Expert:  david craig replied 11 days ago.

ok. then replace the resistor assembly

Expert:  david craig replied 11 days ago.

did he check for a good ground at the connector for the motor?

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
He plugged in the new unit to see if the motor is the problem. He said it didn't come on
Expert:  david craig replied 11 days ago.

but he had power at the connector. so the next step is to replace the blower motor resistor

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Where is the resister assembly located
Expert:  david craig replied 11 days ago.

ill get you a diagram, but its located very close to the blower motor

Expert:  david craig replied 11 days ago.

the front blower motor resistor is incorporated into the blower motor, so the problem is the blower motor switch. the rear blower motor has a separate resistor.

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
I should go ahead and install new motor?
Expert:  david craig replied 11 days ago.

if he said he plugged the new one in and it didnt work...then no. replace the blower motor switch.

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Ok that is located where?
Customer: replied 11 days ago.
Oh ok I see it on the diagram.
Expert:  david craig replied 11 days ago.

its actually part of the climate control panel. thats where the signal is sent from to the blower motor

Customer: replied 11 days ago.
in the dash?
Customer: replied 11 days ago.
How do I replace blower control switch?
Expert:  david craig replied 10 days ago.

I believe you need to replace the entire climate control panel. the switch is not serviceable by itself.
