2005 cadilac sts intermediate starting issues wont crank go to pull out key it won t go to lock position code says loss of com to pcm/bcm you can jump starter relay an it will start

Once running will it run fine and shift in and out of park fine?

it runs fine drives fine .when you stop to shut off car some times it won't go in to lock position to get key out an if you cycle key to start no start an there no check engine light on dash

Connect a scan tool and view the "message monitor" status of all the modules. Verify all modules on the vehicle are on the list of modules and that all the modules are "active". Approximately 17 modules will be available. If the PCM is not on the list, verify the PCM has all of its powers and grounds. Replace the PCM if the above mentioned if the powers and grounds are good and the above tests pass and the communication code remains.
