Cadillac Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hi Im David, thanks for visiting the site
There is a trouble code associated with this, and we'll need to know what that code is before pinpointing this. Do you have access to a scan tool so you can retrieve the trouble codes? A code reader won't do it, you'll need a high end scan tool for this.
One of the causes of this condition may be chafing of the variable effort steering (VES) actuator wiring harness as it routes along the left front control arm. Contact with the edge of the control arm, along with suspension movement, may result in a rub-through of the wires (circuits 1787 or 345) within that harness.
that is my opinion, may i ask what you are talking about?
there is a tsb on this condition. if you didnt want information about the possible cause of your problem then why did you ask for help?
