Customer Question

I have 2004 Cadillac Escalade with 255,000 miles I was using 5w-20 oil I live in Las Vegas were climate is hot I changed to 10w 30 oil & engine seems to run smoother is it ok to use 10w-40 or 20w-50 at next oil change

With that many miles I would not go over the 10w-30. It may cause internal damage to the engine. The clearance between the bearings is much smaller then the older engines and 10w-40 and definantly 20w-50 may not be thin enough to lubricate the moving parts in the engine.
