Cadillac Deville: My 1991 Cadillac Deville has started shuddering

Customer Question

My 1991 Cadillac Deville has started shuddering when I press on the gas. It runs smooth at idle and after I get it up to speed and don't press the gas pedal., I thought it was the transmission so I rebuilt the transaxle and changed out the torque converter but I still have the same problem. My ElectoéMechanical guy says its the transmission. the transmissuion guy insists its the motor. Timing , plugs rotor and cap are fine. I lean toward a electronic problem with the transaxle but don't know enough about it. Possibly the pumpÉ

sound as if you may have a low fuel pressure..perhaps a clogged filter or the fuel pump is weak
Expert:  tim's auto repair replied 8 months ago.

that is what to do when you can..to answer the question,i do not think it is an electrical problem with the transmission..or a problem at all with the transmission,,
