I have a cadillac ATS 2.0T premium with run flat 18 inch

Customer Question

I have a cadillac ATS 2.0T premium with run flat 18 inch tires. Already had wheel bearings after a pothole. Now have a grinding whining noise heard loudest at speeds above 55 but audible at 40. In the shop twice, no tire, bearing problem found. Erin differential replaced by cadillac - no improvement. Any ideas?

the last line should read they replaced the front differential and nothing improved. Still have whining noise. Now I don't trust they can diagnose the problem

My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question had not received a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.

If you have not had the brakes checked over for any damaged or worn components this should be done.I have seen worn brake pads or damaged/warped rotors cause issues like this here and in some cases a brake caliper that is hanging up causing this type of noise as well.If these have already been checked over let me know so we can continue.

If more help is needed, use the reply tab to continue our conversation. If no further assistance is needed, kindly rate my service. You can rate at any time and we can continue to work on your question as this will not close out your question.Keep in mind in some cases it can be difficult to fully diagnose or help repair your vehicle without seeing it and I work on delivering the best possible answer from what I see to work with.

Thanks Pete
