I'm traveling through St. Louis and started hearing a noise

Customer Question

I'm traveling through St. Louis and started hearing a noise in my right passenger rear tire. I took car to dealer and was told it is the rear differential that needs replacing what are the normal costs to repair this?

The amount of labor time it should take is about 3.3 hours at the dealer or 4.8 elsewhere. So at about let's say $100 an hour dealer rate that would be $330 labor plus the price of the differential.
