you just need to change # ***** in this picture ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Anytime I see the grille for sale it says 2008 or newer.
Example

And

Could you verify? I hear the Chrome hood strip is longer for the platinum grille.
Expert:  ggrote1 replied 1 year ago.

i am also showing that is for a 2008 and up

can you call your local GM dealer and give them your VIN number and ask for the part number and proce on the grill

this may be a late 2007 truck where the 2008 grill will fit

but to be sure you have to call the local GM dealer with your VIN number

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That was the reason used this service. I can give you my vin or would like a refund or someone who can answer the question
Expert:  ggrote1 replied 1 year ago.

My question was is it possible to put a platinum grille 22860588
On my vehicle? Like what changed from 2007 to 2008
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

From what I looked up that don't fit the 2007. I gave you the link to what does fit. Why are you so concerned about this part # ***** you already purchase it or something? To answer your question, I don't know what changed from 07 to 08.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Odd though indeed because the part I gave you also fits the 08.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Unless it is a platinum esv and I didn't catch that right away but I do see where you said, " would like to install a platinum grill"

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I'm wanting to install a Platinum Grille on a non platinum vehicle. I'll

I understand if it's not possible just please read the original question
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Excuse me if I am wrong, but wouldn't that be considered a black grille?

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

Gm parts direct says that part number 22860588 has been replaced by a new part number 23139253, http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm?addtocart=1&addpartnumber=23139253&singlepart=1&partnumber=22860588

Anyhow, I believe these are the instructions,

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thanks for your help. Yes I purchased 22860588. When they change a part # ***** it usually fit the old part as well?
Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

I don't know. You are asking me a question that the answer should come from Gm or whomever manufactures those aftermarket parts. I am simply a mechanic.

Expert:  Mike S. replied 1 year ago.

If I had the same question, I would be contacting them as well.
