Cadillac deville: My 2000 Cadillac deville has a smoke like

Customer Question

My 2000 Cadillac deville has a smoke like vapor coming from the exhaust but disappears after a foot or two away from the car. If I drive it for about 15 minutes it goes away completely. I doesn't overheat and it only happened again fiance the car sits for hours or cools what is this? And it has a smell but hard to distinguish cause it almost smells like nothing at times but exhaust

Hello I will help you with your question,
One of the byproducts of combustion is water and until the exhaust system heats enough to flash that water into steam you will see the water vapor. Completely normal.
Now if the vapor starts spelling like coolant you have a problem.
Please let me know how I can help you with your question
Thank you
