Cadillac Deville: What are fault codes P0443 and P0446? How

This answer was rated:

What are fault codes P0443 and P0446? How can I reset these?
Hello and thank you for trusting me with your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will do my best to help you with your Cadillac problem.

The P0443 code is for an open circuit to the evap canister purge valve.
The P0446 code is for a blocked vent path, normally a faulty evap canister vent valve.

Typically to repair these two codes, both the evap canister purge solenoid and evap canister vent valve will need to be replaced. The purge solenoid is located on the engine's intake manifold.

The vent valve is located under the car at the front of the fuel tank.
