I have 2005 STS and it is not learning the FOB. I have done the FOB learn before with the same vehicle and know all its steps, but once i complete the 30 minute cycle FOB learn; the car still displays; No FOB Detected. I'm stranded since 3 days now. I even bought a new key remote with all new batteries (twice just to be sure my new batteries are not dead), still no luck. My car is next to an open field, no over head cables, no other radio device etc... please help and Thanks in advance.

This is typically caused from "Memory full" or the BCMUse of Dealer scan Tool is needed to "clear" ALL Memory & Reprogram to BCMThe BCM will only recognize up to "4" Transmitters & Programming without Scan Tool will NOT Clear others already Programmed

Please note; I have 2 FOB keys only, but I have tried several times to do the 30 minute cycle. Another expert in this field had posted online that the 30 minute cycle will will erase all keys from memory!
If you still think I my memory is full, i will do as you suggested and contact dealer to erase.

The car battery is not fully charged and is weak, can that be the problem, even if the dash display works fine?
The 2nd part of your response is a bit confusing because I did not say several times "Bank is full & needs to be erased via Dealer Scan Tool & BCM Tested"; maybe someone else or another person you spoke with.

absolutely..............Be sure Battery is fully charged, prior to "any" Programming
