Hello, My name I Randall. I will do my best to assist you with your question.

I am not quite understanding about the heat being turned up

you are taliking about radiator fans?

what do you mean by turning heat up?

do they work with ac on?

please send more details. Thanks

Customer replied332 days and 12 hours ago.

no with ac on or climate turned up they sometimes come on for thirty secs go off until 222 degrees

checking something, back shortly

the temp doesnt ever go down when fans are on

o, with AC being used, the fans just do not come on and stay on all the time
the fans are programmed to only turn on with AC on when certain pressures are reached by the pressure sensors in the AC system so,, they may come on/off with AC on

Fans do not come on at anytime by turning up temp like heat, This has nothing to do with the fan controls

Now,, the computer gets a temp signal from the temp sensor, The computer then is programmed to only turn fans on at a certain temp, 222 is slightly off as the computer is programmed for about 226 + degrees to turn fans on

So,, if you are only getting fans at times while driving or at idle with AC on, this can be normal depending on when the AC pressures are high enough to command fans on

If fans only coming on after 222? then this too is normal operation and exactly what the computer is programmed to do.

I am not saying you do not have a problem with soemthing but I can only answer your qeustion by the wording and symptoms you have sent

Its all normal per your information

If temps it say 222 and fans come on, the temp may not drop too much. 222 is no where near confirmed overheat. Only at 260 + is it overheating

possible thermostat but,, if outside temps are high like they are here,, 222 is perfectly ok running temp and is NOT in overheat and in some cases the fans may run more often at 222+ as temps are high

Customer replied332 days and 12 hours ago.

when 222 degreees is reached fans come on but temp continues to rise even with fans on

ok this is what I was trying to get at by more details, so you say it is starting to overheat even with fans on

then goes back to one of a few things

t stat, slightly blocked radiator are my first 2 thoughts, If not going to top of guage? I lean to t stat but there are other possibles

coolant full, thermostat, partial blocked rad or in verfy sever case, could be early sign of failing headgasket. I have to mention all possibles.

Maybe start with the more common easier, cheaper part and do the thermostat
