Greetings and welcome to Just Answer. My name is Mark.

Below are the instructions on removing the coil pack for 2-4-6. That would be bank 2 on the right side. Looks like GM has some special tools which art "T" handled allan wrenches.

Ignition Coil Replacement (RH Side)

Tools Required

J 43301 Coil Pack Remover

Removal Procedure

  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure.

  2. Object Number: 345360 Size: SH

Important: Counterhold the fuel hose connections when loosening to prevent damage to the fuel rail.

  3. Disconnect the fuel supply hose from the intake manifold.
  4. Disconnect the fuel return hose from the intake manifold.
  5. Unclip and reposition the heater hoses from the retainer.
  6. Remove the heater hose retainer bracket bolt from the intake plenum.
  7. Remove the heater hose retainer bracket.
  8. Disconnect the coil pack electrical connector.
  9. Remove the coil pack retainer bolts.

  10. Object Number: 411471 Size: SH

Important: Do not overtighten the special tool.

  11. Thread the J 43301 into the coil pack.
  12. With even pressure, lift and remove the coil pack.
  13. Remove the J 43301.
