I need to replace crank shaft sensor. I can't find where it goes. Where is it located?

Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

In the engine compartment, on the left side of the engine block

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Object Number: 887868  Size: SH

  2. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) electrical connector (3).
    Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  3. Remove the crankshaft sensor bolt.
  4. Remove the crankshaft sensor.

    Object Number:(NNN) NNN-NNNN Size: SH

  1. Install the crankshaft position sensor. Install the crankshaft position sensor bolt.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the crankshaft position sensor bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    Object Number: 887868  Size: SH

  3. Connect the CKP electrical connector (3).
  4. Lower the vehicle.

You say left side, lets use driver or passenger?

Well usually the driver side is the left side,but these pics look like the passenger side. The arrow always points to the front of the vehicle.

<p>I looked both sides and can not find it I've rebuilt engines, and have never been to where I could never find something on an engine. Thought this was going to be a 15 min. job. The all wheel drive makes things even more fun to get to things. </p><p>I have looked for over 2 hours.</p><p> </p><p>Thanks for the help. </p>
