Water Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure

  • Remove the water pump housing.
  • Remove the water pump cover bolt/studs.
  • Remove the water pump cover.

  • Remove the water pump bolts.
  • Remove the water pump.

    1. Remove and discard the water pump O-ring seal.

    Installation Procedure

    Install a NEW water pump O-ring seal.

  • Install the water pump. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
  • Install the water pump bolts. Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) .

    Remove the water pump cover.

    Important: Ensure that the bolt is installed in the lower inboard position (1) and the studs are installed in the remaining positions (2).

    1. Remove the water pump cover bolt/studs. Tighten the bolt/studs to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) .
    2. Install the water pump housing.

    do the whole housing with the throttle body and egr valve have to be removed ?
