The front bumper fascia must be removed first, then remove the headlamps to access the bulbs.

Tighten10 N·m (89 lb in)

TipDisconnect the electrical connector.
Caution: The high intensity discharge system produces high voltage and current. In order to reduce the risk of severe shocks and burns, the battery negative cable must be disconnected any time service work is being performed on or around the high intensity discharge system.

Headlamp Assembly Bolt (Qty: 3)
TipTighten the fasteners in sequence as shown.
Tighten6 N·m (53 lb in)
Headlamp Assembly Nut
Headlamp Capsule Assembly
TipPull outward on the housing in order to disconnect the electrical connection at the lower rear edge of the lamp.
Electrical Harness Connector
TipDisconnect the connector from the headlamp capsule assembly.
Remove the headlamp. Refer to High Intensity Discharge Headlamp Replacement .
Headlamp Bulb Cover Screw (Qty: 3)
TipDo not remove the front bumper fascia to perform this procedure. Just remove enough fasteners and retainers in order to lower one corner of the bumper fascia to access the bulb.
Tighten3 N·m (27 lb in)

Headlamp Bulb Retention Spring (Qty: 2)
TipRelease the springs in order to access the high intensity discharge (HID) bulb.
Headlamp Bulb Electrical Connector
TipPull the bulb rearward and release the electrical connector from the bulb.
TipPull the headlamp bulb from the headlamp assembly.
