Hello, What is car doing? cutting off at lights? when? how often? etc. You said once a week. Other times runs ok? just need a little more info/details

Customer replied 1347 days and 2 hours ago.

When it does this, it just quits when coming to a stop, and will not idle. Starts right back up and dies. I will have to feather the gas pedal at stop lights etc. Runs fine at hwy and city speeds., but when you come to stop, you can watch the tach go down to 0. No check engine light or anything.

Has any work been done at all recently to try and correct this?

Customer replied 1347 days and 2 hours ago.

The first step should be to do a throttle body cleaning. Remove the intake hose from t body and gently spray some carb cleaner into t body till reall nice and clean and the throttle plate is clean as well. Pic below. You may need to do a couple times. If that does not work, remove the IAC or idle air control motor , pic below. and clean it well. . There is no , " by the book relearn" but a way that dioes work most of the time is to start car, put in gear and let sit in gear for 10 minutes without touching the accel pedal. Turn car off, then restart.
