Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Replacement



  1. Remove the IP upper trim pad. CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.
  2. Remove the instrument cluster trim panel.
  3. Remove the 4 fasteners (1) retaining the IP cluster to the IP.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (2) on each side of the IP cluster.
  5. Remove the IP cluster (3) from the IP.


  1. Install the IP cluster (3) to the IP.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors (2).
  3. Install the 4 fasteners (1). NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Tighten Tighten the cluster fasteners to 1.5 N.m (14 lb in ).
  4. Install the IP cluster trim panel.
  5. Install the IP upper trim pad.

Yes, the upper panel is the top of the dash...
Here is the SIR caution..
Caution: When performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, the SIR system must be disabled. Failure to observe the correct procedure could cause deployment of the SIR components, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

To disable to the SIR system, remove the SRS or AIRBAG fuse and disconnect the yellow connector at the base of the steering column. Wait 1 minute before working on the system.
