I was placed on administrative leave on Thursday. Can I file

Customer Question

I was placed on administrative leave on Thursday. Can I file for harrassment while on this leave?
JA: Because laws vary from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: California
JA: Is the employment agreement "at will," union, full time or part time?
Customer: union part time
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Is this free?
JA: The employment lawyer's require payment for their services. It's way less expensive on JustAnswer than face-to-face would cost.
Customer: No thanks

absolutely can file a claim for harassment. I would be concerned how strong it would be considered as the judge might view this as retaliatory for the administrative leave.

Ok how about if I already had started a case internally.. so for example I filed grievance with HR and I made union aware of everything... i have documentation for everything...and i also called compliance hotline and have a case #***** this was done before the administrative leave...so actually management is retaliating against me
