I was recently laid off and my ex-employer, a law, firm is asking on the Severance and Release Agreement to release and forever discharge from any and all claims, demands, causes of actions obligaton charges, damages, liabilities, attorneys' fees and costs of any nature whatsoever, contingent or non-contingent, matured or unmatured, liquidated or unliquidatd, whether or not known, suspected or claimed which employee had, now has, or may claim to have had as of the effective date of the contract any affliated organization or companies, but not limited to, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Their primary client is the bank which is presently holding the loan to my home and I want to make sure that if I have any disagreemet in the future with this bank, I will not be violating this agreement. I want to make sure that this release is only regarding my termination. Please advise. Thank you
Hello and thank you for entrusting me to assist you, I will do everything I can to answer your question. "..whether or not known, suspected or claimed which employee had, now has, or may claim to have had as of the effective date of the contract any affliated organization or companies, but not limited to, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX."Is there a word missing here? It seems like the word "against" should have preceded the underlined portion of the text I quoted above. Otherwise, this clause is gramatically quite unclear.I very much look forward to helping you on this matter.
I am sorry I was worried that I would run out of room and paraphrased it. It does have the work "against" in front.
