Does medical leave override a letter of resignation? I am in the state of California and employed with a major bank?
Hello and welcome to JustAnswer.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation and hope I can help.

Unfortunately, if you sent in your letter of resignation prior to requesting or being approved for medical leave, the medical leave would not override the letter of resignation.

Once you have sent a letter of resignation into your employer, your employer is free to decide whether to let you withdraw the letter of resignation or decide to accept the resignation, resulting in your voluntary termination from employment with the bank.

I sincerely XXXXX XXXXX had better news to give you, but I hope you appreciate a direct and honest answer to your question.
