A customer, who is also a member of our club, made a racist remark to a black employee of the club. I found out about it much (months) later. The customer followed it up months later with a clarification to the employee that was also quite offensive. What would be a proper course of action for a. the employeeb. me (the manager)c. the club?
Already Tried: Nothing
Hello and welcome to JustAnswer.I'm sorry to hear about your situation and hope I can help.As the manager, you and the club cannot be liable for the racist remarks of a club member against an employee. If you wish to take corrective action against the customer such as denying him membership to the club, you are within your rights to do so, but there is no other need for corrective action, so there's really no need to take action for either the employee, the manager, or the club. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
