I am thinking about opening an arcade in a very small rural community for the youth to have a place to go. My town is very small less than 1000, but it would serve several small surrounding communities. Looking for ideas and suggestions.

Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy);

I have a differing opinion about this.

I live in a small community of ... well it was 4000 when I first came here at age 14. I have seen at least 4 arcades/ pool halls started up to occupy the youth of this community and every one failed miserably. The biggest problem you have is that Kids do not spend money that they don't have. Especialy today with games available on their home computers. If you want to start a good business in your town start a coffee and computer store with computer rentals (on site) and repair. . The adults will use it and they have money to spend.
