Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy), You don't have to pay to write to an inmate. But there are standards that have to be followed when writing. There is a great site I am going to give you that will tell you everything you can and can't do when writing an inmate as well as how to address the envelope and what information you need on the envelope in order for the inmate you are writing , to recieve the mail. FAQ: Writing to an inmate __________________ If you are satisfied with my answer, press the ACCEPT button as it is the only way I receive credit for my work. Thank you!

Yes all I know as this guy,s conviction was back in 2004 and said he had 3 years probation and one year in the Fillmore county JAIL. What if it,s just a county jail facility, which site to I click on? What do you suggest I do if all I have is that criminal record that was E-mailed to me from US Search? IF everything went as paned out, he would be released next February but things can ALWAYS change so what do you suggest I do to find out more info about him? THIRDLY Explain more about the inmate,s DC NUMBER That is the most imporatnt part of this 2nd part of this question.

Hi again Customer (name blocked for privacy), First: If the conviction was in 2004 did he perhaps serve his one year already and be on his 3 year probation at this time, which would mean he's been released? The following is a site that will bring you to the Minnesota offender locater. You can punch in all the info. you have on the person and it will retrieve all public records regarding their being in prison, or released from prison and still under supervision. Offender Locater I am also giving you the Department of Correction site for Minnesota which has some helpful links also: Minnesota Department of Corrections If this person is still in prison you can find out his DC number by calling the Department of Corrections at the link below. The DC numbers are assigned to each inmate for ID purposes. Main Switchboard: (651) 361-7200
Minnesota Department of Corrections 1450 Energy Park Drive Suite 200 St. Paul, Minnesota 55108-5219 Good luck and please let me know if you need anything further! ~Dee __________________ If you are satisfied with my answer, press the ACCEPT button as it is the only way I receive credit for my work. Big, BIG problem: That is I checked that Minnesota offender locate sight and showed NO results I put in his name and tried both Jeff and Jeffery his exact DOB and showed notta!! Another BIG issue: He was or was to serve in a local JAIL not a major or state prison. When I did a US search just to try to find him it showed he never had a place of his own NOR with a girlfriend or roomate, it just said he lived at that address which is his parents place. So what will I need to contact if that DWI conviction was ONLY for a county jail back in Feb of 2004. In addition, all that search result from 'US SEARCH" was the name arrest info AND a CASE number??? And IF the case is he is under supervision, then how can I attempt to contact him?? But anyway, the big thing is that I tried that offender locator and NO SUCH LUCK.

Yes I may have forgot to mention this BUT I tried contacting Jeff,s parents home both by phone and by letters and still came up blank. I left messages on their machine but never heard a peep and I sent letters addressed specifically to Jeff about 3 weeks ago... before I even knew that he once had a DWI conviction. MY super biggest question is if it is just a county facility he was held in and NOT a MAJOR prison or institute, will a county sherrif STILL give you information on how to contact him I know there would be certain restrictions but that is NOT A PROBLEM for me but question is will they? BY means have people wrote to inmates before that were NOT in a MAJOR facility or institute?? They key word of this part of the question is 'MAJOR'.

I had to get a NEW DEBIT card because I,ve been a scam victim and there have been other people breaking into my account so I am really sorry but this payment out of my debit checking account should come out of there in the next ten business days and what will I need to do to to give you the new number when I get it what will I need to click in??? One more quicky: If Jeff is out of jail but zaba search still shows only his parents address is it also very possible he may be homeless??? Could I maybe put an ad in my local paper to try to find him?? If he is indeed homeless, he shouldn,t show up on ANY US Search SITE correct?? What should I do in both the Jeff and the DEBIT situation.

Relist: I still need help.
HELLO, I just received my NEW debit account and just entered it in! So now back to Jeff. I now just need some type of probability of eventually finding and locating one of my buddies I have not seen in 17 years and have been TRYING for the past 7 years! If I give you these bits of information. If I say that Jeff is indeed out of prison and off probation BUT I did a US Search address history that it gave me and it shows he never had a place of his OWN and shows only his parents as the known address. (II) He is now 30 and would think that he would want to be away from home right? (III) How come if it was just a DWI conviction in February 2004, he got a FULL year in jail AND 3 years probation? Do you suppose he had other criminal convictions? The one US Search provided me with is ONLY that DWI in early 2004! (IV) If I put and AD in my local paper every 3 weeks or so 'till I locate him and say I live in a town of about 100,000 do you suppose at least a couple hundred people look at the wanted ads in the paper each GIVEN day? That stat can really help me!! (V) And last, if Rochester is about 100,000 and it shows ONLY his parents for a resident, do you REALLY think it is also possible he may be OR may have stayed in some hospitality house, is homeless form time to time? One thing I do know he IS indeed around here SOMEWHERE cause I have 3 sources that have address history of him. So with all that in mind if I keep asking around from bar to bar convinience shop to shop do you really think I stand a good probability of finding him in the near future??

This WILL waswer everything! It really appears that Jeff really really wanted to be my buddy we played pool together at this billiard parlor 17 years ago or so but have been searching the last SEVEN years or so. I have been getting an AVERAGE of about an hour and a half LESS per night of sleep, since June, have not had a beer, been eating less since then all because of this anxeity! Prior to June, I wasn,t even sure of the last name,s exact spelling but my appetite just CRASHED that day in June when the date of birth matched what he claimed that day in the pool hall and that,s when I found out that is the right Jeff. so I,m going to send him or attempt to send him a gift and NOT A CHEAP ONE!! all becuase I still care about him dispite his troubles. My plan is to maybe if I do get a lead, have him/her send it to Jeff. I,m going to send this part of the question in segments because I only get so much time or it will SHUT DOWN on me so stay tuned for more.

CONTUNUED: (II) As far as that class reunion, his younger brothers and him all lived together during their schooling years BUT Jeff has absolutely NO yearbook photos at all in the community, nor protraits what soever like his brothers did have several so he may have volunteerly dropped out! (III) In reguards to that DWI in earlt 2004, my local library has only the Rochester and the twin cities newspapers. The incedent occured in Fillmore county so do you suppose only the Preston newspaper would have that court citaion cause the Rochester paper has only Olmsted county court citations in the daily paper OR would the Rochester library MAYBE have some other type of court articles in surrounding cities or areas? (IV) Finally, do you really think I stand a MUCH MUCH better chance of getting in touch with Jeff say...by the FIRST OF THE YEAR, than getting struck by lightning anytime in FEBRUARY in Ontario or Quebec on a GIVEN year??? Think about that one. I,m talking about a given year with all that EFFORT I,m really planning to contunue putting in??

VERY VERY short question do you STILL think it is quite possible Jeff may still be interested in hearing from me if just that one summer in the pool hall he really enjoyed meeting me and playing pool with me IF I tell you there were other friends of mine that still liked me and did things together with me and they were in far WORSE trouble with the law then with Jeff. That was the the case not just once but two or three ocaasions where after their troubles they were very good to me!! The key owrd of this portion is "STILL"

ONE thing I TOTALLY forgot to mention is when Jeffery got that DWI citation, do you honestly think that Jeff knew right from wrong when he made that choice that night???? I hearsay there would of been like a 99% chance that he would of claimed some type of insanity! but the court record shows ONLY jail facility so do you think it,s mentally TRUE he did know what he was doing. I sure HOPE he knew right from wrong!!!
