I have a large amount of imprinted pens for my real estate business. I changed companies so I can't use them anymore. What can I do with them instead of throwing them out?

Hi,

Well i would definitely not throw them out. The best thing you can do is donate them to a charity such as a homeless shelter or a local Church's pantry so they can be given to people who could use them.

Another choice is donating them to a school in a poor district as supplies are always greatly needed. If there is a extremely large number of them the charity can give you a paper so you can use this as a chartable deduction on your tax's next year.

Another option is selling them on ebay or another auction site, unfortunately you will not get much for them as they are useless except for personal use. Your best bet is a donation not only can you get the deduction but you will be helping someone as well.
