While attending the Gate River Run in Jacksonville, FL this past Saturday, I saw a young man holding up a sign that said "Beware the 26". THEN, I also saw a plane fly over with a banner stating the same. I have googled and yahood with no results. What does this mean? Do you have any idea what he is refering to?

Hi Customer (name blocked for privacy),

I have also done research and have not been able to find a "specific" meaning for Beware the 26...therefore..because this is a run and because the runners are numbered I would have to come to a logical conclusion and that runner 26 had one heck of a support group and it meant nothing more than that and I hope he/she placed well in the race.. In case you missed anything on the event I am giving you a link to the 2007 results page.

Reply to Diane's Post: You know, I really couldn't imagine that being the case, but now that I look at his number, he did come all the way from CO so I guess it might have been a bigger deal than I realized...being a local person. I think you are probably right, it's just with all the terrorist stuff and dates, etc...it seemed very weird to me! I appreciate the input that I am not missing something in history that I should know!!

Also, I just noticed your career has been in the field of art. My Father has started watercolor painting and did a Monotype. He has sold one painting already and I am in the process of researching this as a possible business of my own. I have found a few places to do shows in Virginia and in Jacksonville. So, I was wonering if I can ask additional questions specifically to you? How can I direct them to you? I would love to hear your advice on getting his work in galleries, on cards, etc. as well as business tips for me. I would love to try to learn the business in order to represent some artists that are only interested in doing the artwork. Anyway, can you tell me how to ask you this through Justanswer?

Thanks! I appreciate your insight!
Best Regards,
Sharon MB Smith

Hi Sharon,

I understand the "terrorist" concern you had but I do think they'd be a bit more discreet.

At any time you may ask a question and request me. That option will be there when and if you ask another question. I then, have a short period of time in which to respond before another expert is able to answer your question. I am not here at all hours so the chances are good that I, personally, may not get to you in time. What I will do, is speak with one of my administrators to see if there is an alternative route that can be taken and get back to you as soon as I have an answer.

In the meantime...

Have a great day and I hope to be able to help you soon!
