Hi wnd whoppers,

According to the article/discussion below, telephone numbers belong to the phone company and can not be sold. You may want to call your phone company and see if there is a way to transfer your number from yourself to this business, but do not let them know you are "selling" it to them.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else you need.

the man and i have established that in recent conversations. he would be accepting my number on his bill and the phone company would not know about the transaction. my phone is a to go phone and i pay for my phone time with phone cards. everytime i purchase a card i have phone time for a year. the man would be buying my sim card. could you please help me in figuring a selling price. it would be profitable for both of us if this transaction went smoothly. i am a professional and each person i have asked tells me to sell in the thousands (average 2500). i just want extra affirmation before i go through with this business deal or tell him that the hassle is not worth the $200.

Hi again,

With this being a go phone, it will make the process much easier and smoother for you.

You are correct that $200 is not enough to sell you number for. Unfortunately, I am unable to find a website or article about previous sales of phone numbers, so it's hard to say what a fair price would be.

I think $2,000 would be a reasonable asking price for your number. If it will help the company do business and be an easy one for their customers to remember, they should have no problem purchasing it for around that price. Definitely stand your ground and make sure they know you are not going to be taken advantage of.

I hope this helps, good luck to you!
