How do I make a University Tutorial Interactive when it is about the differences between male and female entrepreneurs?

I want the seminar participants to work in small groups - thus making it interactive - but what to I get them to work on?

It must be interesting and thought provoking

There are a few things you could do.

If you divide the group into males and females:

1. Make up a company and outline different senarios, crisis, problems, or issues that the company might face. Have each group come up with ways they would deal with each senario. There will most likely be differences between the male and female group. Gather the groups together to present their ideas and then discuss the differences.

2. Have each group work on developing their dream business. Of the things they will need to think about (develope the logo and name? Get funding in place and what type of fnding? Who would they employ? How big do they see the business getting?), what would they do first, second, third to get it started. Males and females will prioritize things differently and choose different types of businesses to build.

Or, if you don't want to divide by sex, split into small groups and:

3. Choose several estisting small businesses owned by males and females. Using what you know of the differences, choose businesses which typlify these differences. Ask the small groups to study and discuss the abstracts you have created from these businesses and have them guess which are run by males and which by females. Gather together and discuss why each group made its choices. In the discussion, you can point out what things signal a business run by a female or male.

4. Have each group list the differences they think exist between male and female entrepreneurs. Get everyone together to present their lists. Discuss what they got right and what they got wrong, and why.

Hope this helps!
