Fortunately NYC (where I live too!) offers great assistance for minority small business owners.

One possible resource is the National Minority Business Council, Inc. They offer financing, education and training programs, help with IPO's, etc. Click here.

NYC itself offers great opportunitys for minority owned small businesses such as yours to secure contracts with the city (which I imagine would be a great opportunity for your business). They also help small business obtain funding through the city, incentive programs and training. Click here.
