I have several things that I believe to be fossils. One very large canine tooth, one molar, one hip bone and one thing that's just too weird to desrcibe. how can i find someone qualified and willing to examine these for me? And could they be worth money?

As you stated in the email to me, your camera your camera does not take close ups very well. I looked at all the pictures, and it was very hard to tell. Your ZZ Tops CD displayed pretty good though. The one item you have that you described, as to weird to explain, looks to me to be a antler of sorts.

To insure a better identification, I would suggest that you take them to a local museum or to the science department of a university near you. If none of these are close, I would suggest your local high school's science department.

It would be very hard to estimate a value with the information I have. I don't imagine they are of great value but who knows. You may have some very valuable relics that a museum would love to acquire.

Ebay would be another possibility for their sale or determining value. Very high quality pictures would be needed there though. Selling items on eBay without a very good picture, that allows the bidder to see what they are bidding on, does not produce good results. Here is a link a web sight that offers to assist selling items on eBay. Many others such businesses are spring up all over.

Reply to John Baker's Post: ALTHOUGH A LOCAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT WOULD NOT BE A BAD IDEA FOR SOMEONE WITH THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS, I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING MORE LIKE THE SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON A SPECIFIC PLACE THAT IS USED TO DEALING WITH THIS SORT OF THING. IM IN CAMP LEJEUNE NORTH CAROLINA AND I NEED INFO SUCH AS CONTACT INFORMATION ON A LOCAL PLACE (LESS THAN 2 HOURS) THAT DEALS WITH THIS SORT OF THING. I DONT REALLY THINK WALKING IN WITH IT TO SOME RANDOM SCIENCE CLASS IS THE KEY.
