I am not aware of a law like that but it would be considered a breach of contract that you could sue for.

Sorry but your reply to my question was not very helpful, I WAS REQUIRED TO PAY IN ADVANCE FOR 30 DAYS OF ASSISTED LIVING BUT I'M TAKING MY HUSBAND BACK HOME AND THEY DON'T WANT TO REFUND ANY OF THE $$WHEN HE WAS IN THE HOME FOR ONLY 7 DAYS AT $2300.00 A MONTH.

Does the contract say the amount is not refundable? You can try suing in small claims court that it would be inequitable for them to retain funds when you never used their service.
