Our lease expired. We have been renting our space without a lease for over 6 months. Our landlord said he would makeup new lease yet has not produced one. Now he is telling another business owner who shares our space he wants us out in 8 months. Do we have any rights?

Unfortunately, without a written lease, you are a month to month tenant. As such, your tenancy may be terminated by you or the landlord providing notice of 30 days or the interval between days of payment—whichever is longer—as required by Massachusetts law and specifying the date on which your tenancy will end.
