A contract between a general contractor and a subcontractor

Customer Question

A contract between a general contractor and a subcontractor contains a "pass-through" provision. Must the subcontractor go through the general contractor to foreclose on a lien imposed on the OWNER's property or may the subcontractor himself foreclose the lien?
